What a day!

In case you were not one of the 100 people that showed up at the first New Hampshire Real Estate Bar Camp at the Mount Washington Hotel last week, check out the video below to see what all the fun was about…

There were over a dozen Union Street Media clients that made the trip over for the day.  It was great to see Rich Whitney from Mariner Realty, Adam Dow, Mike Travis and Wendy McHugh from Prudential Spencer Hughes, Tom Tremblay from Coldwell Banker Covey & Coldwell Banker Linwood, Chrissy Smith from Peabody Smith, Debbie Zywusko and Barbara Thibodeau, from MACK Realty Group, John Snyder & John Bassette from Snyder Bassette (check out their review of the conference on their blog too).

Also, a huge thank you to Anne Cummings and Jim Lee, two new Union Street Media clients, and Jay & Monika McGillicuddy, who coordinated the entire event. There were a number of great presentations put on about social media, internet marketing and QR codes.  We also enjoyed catching up with our friends, Brad and Bobby Carrol, from Dakno. They had an excellent presentation on photo blogging using Posterous.

We’ll definitely be back for Bar Camp 2011. Hope to see you there!

We’re thrilled you’ve registered and are planning to attend our first ever REBarCamp here in New Hampshire!

The location is the gorgeous Mount Washington Hotel, and our conference will be held in the brand new conference center just opened this year.

The date as you know is October 20th.  Here are some details for you to know so you can make your plans:
  • - Registration/Check-In is from 8:30am to 9am.
  • - Welcome Remarks 9:00am to 9:15am.
  • - First sessions begin at 9:30am.
  • - Sessions will run about 50-55 minutes each.
  • - There will likely be more than one session running during each time block.
  • - We’ll have the various sessions posted the morning of REBCNH.
  • - We have 3 times during the day with break food and drink being provided.
  • - Lunch is on your own whenever you want to take it – bring your own or enjoy one of the restaurants in the hotel or in the nearby areas.
  • - All attendees must be registered, so if you know of someone planning to attend who isn’t registered, please let them know they need to register.
  • - The day will likely run until 4:30 – 5pm or so, depending on sessions and various other things.
Be sure to check out the REBCNH Facebook page for additional information, our REBCNH webpage with details, and follow us on Twitter for quick tweets.  Our hashtag for Twitter is #rebcnh – follow things on Twitter by searching for tweets with #REBCNH in them.

For those who will be in the area the night before (Tuesday evening), there will be a tweetup in one of the hotel bars.  The Princess Bar is just off the main dining room and opens at 5:30pm.   Plan on an informal tweet-up in the Princess Bar around 6pm, cash bar.
If you would be interested in leading a session or two during REBCNH, please send an email and let us know if you would and what you’d like to speak on.   The schedule of sessions will not be firmed up until that morning, as barcamps are all about being an ‘unstructured conference’.

Please don’t forget to send an email if you’re interested in possibly leading a session during REBCNH!  Please be sure to include the topic(s) you’d like to speak about.

We’re looking forward to seeing you in just about a week and a half!

Oh, and one last thing – make sure to bring plenty of business cards for all the great networking opportunities that go on at REBarCamps!

Real Estate Bar Camp NH- Come on and learn how to push the button!

REBCNH is coming to New Hampshire

Curious about what a Bar Camp is all about? I know I was before I attended my 1st one. I actually drove 9 hours one way to get to it and it was worth every minute of that drive and more.

I’m so excited that NH is having it’s first Bar Camp and it will be an experience, for all those lucky enough to sign up and attend, that you won’t forget.

So what is REBCNH?

It is a day long event that will take place on Oct 20 2010 and it’s often described as an informal gathering of like minded people.  Some refer to it as an “un-conference” and I usually call it a day of peer to peer learning, the raising of the bar to learning. It is a day to discuss how technology and social media, including things like lead generation things that can benefit our real estate business. There is no set agenda but rather it is set that day by the participants and this ensures that the conversations at RE BarCamp are all topics that interest the attendees.

RE.NET movers and shakers

RE BarCamps have also historically pulled people from all over the country, those innovative real estate professionals  that you hear about– the movers and shakers of real estate on the net (re.net), people who are ahead of the curve, doing things outside the box, some really interesting things and they all are willing to share with you for FREE.  Did I say FREE???  How cool is that and in the case of #REBCNH we already have people signed up from outside NH.

Cool Sponsors and Vendor Pitch free zone

We’ve been attempting to secure enough sponsorship to keep this event free to attend with exception of a bag lunch that is.  The culture of RE BarCamp is that it is a “vendor pitch free zone” and this is made clear to all event sponsors prior to accepting their sponsorship commitment.   So while some folks might have products to sell there will be no active selling at #REBCNH.

This is a great opportunity that I hope you all take advantage of!  Oh and sponsorships are all only $250.00 so if you know anyone who would love to go down in history and have their name all over #REBCNH let us know and we’ll contact them!

We could also use some help running the event- things like helping with registrations, handing out t -shirts and badges. We have four volunteers so far but could use a few more… interested if so please let us know.

So come now PUSH THE BUTTON!!!!

Mike Muelller really nails it in this video
