The 21 Day Blogging challenge set forth in this post is officially on. While, admittedly, we didn’t give a lot of time to get ready to enter, we did have to make some tough decisions. The rules were easy: Send an email, every day with a link to your latest blog post for the next 21 days and hopefully using 21DBIH in the subject (the latter just makes it easier for the team). If you’re not on the list, does this mean you should stop? Of course not. Even the team, who are ineligible, are trying to improve by participating in the challenge. Any day can be DAY 1 of a habit. Why not today?

We did want to acknowledge all the entries that we did receive and give a little link love to boot. So here’s the entrants in no particular order:

Derek Massey, MASettlement Blog
Craig Barrett, BayToPiedmont.com
Ann Cummings, NewHampshireRealEstateForSale.com
Heather Elias, Loco Musings
Sarah Stelmok, SarahiouslySpeaking.com
Fred Carver, Victoria Real Estate

We encourage everyone to visit the blogs listed and leave comments.

Good luck.

21 Days to Improve Your Blogging Habits Book

Real Estate BarCamp Philadelphia is issuing a challenge to the Blogosphere – Get Blogging!

Popular wisdom tells us it take 21 days to create a habit. REBCPHL wants to help bloggers who might need a little help or encouragement by throwing out a challenge.  And if the help or encouragement you need is starting a blog, DO IT NOW.

Starting tomorrow, May 5th, 2009, write a post a day for the next 21 days. Each day, email us a link to your post at [email protected] with the subject line 21DIBH. That’s pretty much it. We like to keep things simple.

Entries will not be judged, we’re merely trying to help get you in the habit of writing. Don’t freak out about content or competition – the point is that you’re working to improve something that can improve your business. If you see value in that, please challenge yourself to play along!

We’re also not being picky about the type of content. If you have have a day that just wears you down and the idea of blogging feels like it’s going to send you over the edge, maybe it’s a photo blog day. (Best to keep that camera with you for emergencies like this. Snap a shot of that new business going in on the corner, the gorgeous flowers at the local farmer’s market or springtime on the golf course. It’s all good.) What we’re working on here is the habit of blogging itself.

There will be prizes awarded at REBCPHL but you do not need to be present to win. This means if you’re on the other side of the country (and Hello, Canada!) feel free to join in and play. We’re hoping you will!

We will occasionally share links to posts we especially like, so although we aren’t really judging you may feel free to try to wow us for potential link love. Maybe we’ll tweet them, throw them in Facebook or share them here. We’ll surprise you.

In summary:

  • Write a post a day from May 5 to May 26, 2009.
  • Send a link to your post each day to [email protected] with the subject line 21DIBH
  • You don’t have to be present at REBCPHL to win.
  • Realize on May 26th that you’re quite the blogger and pat yourself on the back.

We look forward to reading your blog!
