April 1st Happy Hour Details for REBarCamp Los Angeles

Start the REBarCamp Los Angeles networking a day early!  Join us for a pre-event happy hour(s) on April Fools Day just down the street from the REBarCamp conference location at the Yard House Pasadena.

We are trying to get a rough head count so the restaurant can be prepared for us.  If you plan to attend, please RSVP by leaving a comment on this post.  Look forward to seeing you there!

Everyone is responsible for their own drinks and food.  The Yard House runs an outstanding happy hour until 6:00 pm so you’ll benefit by arriving early.  We have an area reserved under the name “REBarCamp LA”.

We’ve set the date for Real Estate Barcamp Los Angeles to Thursday, April 2, 2009!

If you don’t know what a RE Barcamp is, don’t worry, we’re going to cover some of that in upcoming posts. It’s essentially a one-day sponsored event (so yes, the cost of attendance to you is free) based on the BarCamp.org principals:

Barcamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants.

So if you’re thinking of deploying a social media marketing strategy in 2009, this will be the place to be as we gather with other web 2.0 savvy industry professionals and host a variety of interactive, hands-on sessions that cover everything from:

• blogging basics (how to build a blog, how to marketing your blog, etc.),
• digital photography tips,
• utilizing social networks (like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.),
• video blogging (vlogging),
• podcasting

…and more.
