Valley Metro CEO to speak about light rail…
Friday, July 25th, 2008I hope you can join us for the next Mayor's "business coffee" to hear Metro's CEO Rick Simonetta, speak about light rail. I have had several opportunities to hear Rick speak and find him to be friendly, informative and obviously very knowledgeable about the vision of rail in our city. I believe there will be a big focus, once again, on light rail safety and awareness of the light rail cars as testing has really been ramping up.
Following is part of an email we got from Friends of Transit mentioning details about the event.
Light Rail is going to change the way we work, live and explore downtown Phoenix. Rick Simonetta, CEO of Valley Metro Rail, will join Mayor Gordon to provide a passenger's perspective of riding the new light rail system, and share practical information about riding the rail
