Zillow Agrees To Sponsor

After talking to Scott Sambucci from Altos Research about sponsoring,  I asked him if he knew anyone else I should call about sponsoring?  He said yes, call David Gibbons from Zillow.

I kept thinking that name sounds familiar.

The other week I made a purchase from Zillow and was having a hard time with customer service and let Zillow know on their blog.  I immediately got an email from Zillow that said “How Can I help you with a ph#.  I was pretty busy and I let it sit in my inbox to do later.

Then when I opened the email again that is where I knew the name. David is a Director at Zillow. So I called and we talked about Bar Camp and then we discussed my customer service thing and he assured me it was handled.

I tell you this story because we all know things happen, if you don’t think they do you are naive. Come on, which among us has not flubbed something. I do not judge a company or a group by a particular incident, I judge them by how they handle it.

Well David Gibbons and the gang at Zillow handled it with flying colors and will continue to have my business. Thanks guys.
