Great success, tons of FUN….and pictures to prove it!

From what we’ve heard the first ever Richmond RE BarCamp was a great success.  Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and they walked away having learned a lot from the experience.  Please enjoy the pictures and provide comments, if you like!

Pre-BarCamp Happy Hour

If you’re coming in early for RE Barcamp RVA (or if you’re already in town!), please join us at Mekong Vietnamese Restaurant for a pre-event happy hour from 5:30-8:00pm on Tuesday night, 6/22.  Mekong has a great beer list and the owner of the restaurant is well-known for his hospitality.  Our group will be provided beers and food in a back room for just $10 each!  There’s limited parking in front of the restaurant, but plenty of parking in the large lot in the rear of the building.

BarCamps have been sweeping the nation over the last couple of years and now the opportunity to attend an RE BarCamp is coming to Richmond.  For those who have been following and attending these various events, we welcome your participation.  If you’ve never attended a Bar Camp before, let the Richmond RE BarCamp be your first venture into this new, unique learning experience.  

A Bar Camp is what most call an “un-conference.”  There is no set agenda, but rather free-flowing open discussions of suggested topics generated by participants.  Usually the current hot topics at the time typically get “scheduled” for main sessions and break-out sessions.  Participants are then encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas on these topics….and the learning begins.  Sounds like fun, huh?
