What do YOU want to learn at RE Bar Camp Phoenix?

OK folks, here’s the deal with RE Bar Camps….
They are “unconferences”. That means there are no set agendas, topics or speakers. The day’s schedule is determined by the attendee’s in the morning. If you want to speak, you suggest a topic. If there is something you want to know about, you encourage people to talk about it. It’s hard to explain and sounds a little goofy, but believe me, it works.
What has been helpful in past Bar Camps is to get an idea ahead of time about what people want to learn, and/or what some are willing to share and lead a discussion on.
So here is your chance. Tell us in a comment what interests you, or what you’d be willing to talk about!

OK, I’ll start….
Things I’d like to hear:
How are people using social media? What tools and tricks to actually gain clients, not just spend time chatting, Facebooking, whatever.
I’d love to be able to talk to small independent brokers about things like agent recruiting, retention and management.
Cool technology tools. Anything and everything about them.
Things I’m more than willing to talk about:
Blogging – from the basics to advanced topics
Working in a virtual office
Using social media to reach clients
Website analytics. Understanding where your traffic comes from and how to get more.

Things that I would like to hear about?
That is easy.
I want to hear how YOU are “doing it”.
I mean, if you are still in business today, you are obviously “doing it” and you might be using the web or social media tools to get it done.
So if you come…
Plan on sharing (with at least me) how you “get it done”.

How about… seo, key words, h1 tags, alt tags, hyper-local blogging, useful mobile applications, cutting edge technologies, crm’s, data management… um, yeah, there is plenty to cover.

What do I want to learn at REBarCamp Phoenix:
1) Which networks are people utilizing to successfully increase their business? There are many, how do you choose?
2) Photography, Podcasting, Videoblogging, ebooks
3) Customer Service & Social Media – how?
4) SEO, analytics (maybe a panel discussion)
I think that’s it for now. I am so excited to be part of Phoenix’s first rebarcamp – I have no doubts that the synergy will be beyond incredible and now matter who’s sharing – there will be tons of stuff to learn – for beginners and experienced beginners.

From my experience in the RE field, there exists a wide swath of technical expertise and digital strategy know-how.
I can help in various ways. My initial inclination is to do a Social Media Triage session. Attendees would get the most out of that if we could interact ahead of time, or maybe make it a two-parter, where we agreed on what issues to “solve” in the first session, then spent the second solving them. Of course, attendees would get the most out of *that* by having their own laptops with them. Possible?
I’d also be happy to discuss search engine strategies. I loath the term SEO. And I’m well versed in Google Analytics, and getting down to what’s REALLY important to look at.
You know me. I’m here to help! I’ll do 2 – 3 sessions. Whatever you need. Maybe get a client or two out of it!

I’d like to have someone to address a straightforward, workable guide for how to get started and take it step by step to put it all together. There’s so much out there and everyone tells you what they have is the best. It’s overwhelming at times (OK, MOST of the time!)
