From an email I sent to everyone who had RSVP’d (at that time. We’re up to 681 RSVPs now)
Phoenix Real Estate Bar Camp 2
is around the corner!
April 9 from 8:30 – 4:30 at Scottsdale Stadium.
More information at the Phoenix RE Bar Camp web site.
Thank you for RSVP’ing to attend the Phoenix RE Bar Camp Event!
This email contains some important information. Please read it!
Food and t-shirts: The first 400 (four hundred) people that check in the morning of the event will receive an event t-shirt and a ticket for lunch — provided on-site by Joe’s Real BBQ! Sorry, but we have no idea how many will actually show up and we only have so many resources, so only the FIRST 400 TO CHECK IN THAT MORNING will get a t-shirt and lunch. If you are number 401 or beyond, you’ll be on your own for lunch (there are plenty of places to eat nearby). Registration tables open at 8:30, there is nothing wrong with getting there early (some of your organizer team will be there at the crack of dawn).
Pre-event gathering: Our friends at Vyllij.com are sponsoring a pre-event gathering on Thursday, April 8. Come get a preview of their product, munch on some free food and drinks, and meet some of the folks that will be at RE Bar Camp! Details are on the site here, as well as how to RSVP. Hurry, only the first 100 to RSVP can attend due to code restrictions at the pre-event site.
Post-event Happy Hour: Thanks to Wise Agent and Solutions Real Estate, we’ve all got a place to go and wind down after the big day at REBC. Munchies provided along with killer drink specials! Last year’s post-event was a blast, you won’t want to miss this one! Details are here. All are welcome.
PLEASE SUPPORT OUR CHARITIES! Thanks to the generous sponsors, and a bunch of dedicated volunteer organizers, REBC is going to cost you *nothing* to attend. Zip, zero, zilch. You’ll get food (the night before at the pre-event, the day of, and at the post-event party), a t-shirt, and most importantly — a day jammed full of learning and networking opportunities. We’ve aligned with three wonderful charities, the Desert Mission Food Bank, Packages from Home, and Mother’s Fighting for Others. Please see this page for more info and specific needs for these fine charities.
We hope that all attendees can either bring items the charities are looking for, or provide a small cash donation at the event to help us help them. Every single dollar we can raise will help these organizations.
Parking: Here is a page with info and a map on where to park.
What to wear: Several new-to-the-bar-camp-experience folks have asked me what the "dress code" is. You’ll want to be comfortable, it’s going to be a long day. And maybe warm (current forecast is "Mostly Sunny with a high of 84). "Ultra casual" is how I term the dress code. I’ll be in a t-shirt and shorts or jeans. This isn’t the place for a suit and tie or a fancy dress. Most of the sessions will be inside, but some will be in the stadium stands. You may want to bring some sunscreen.
What to bring: Yourself, your brain, and maybe something to take notes on. And items or a cash donations for the charities would be fabulous. Bring a desire to participate. Bring a desire to meet people and have fun. There is no wireless internet available at the stadium. Personally I find lugging around a laptop to get old, but you can bring one if you like.
For our out of state visitors: There is a list of nearby hotels here.
I think that covers it. This is going to be an amazing event. We hope you’ll join us on April 9! Feel free to forward this to anyone you think may be interested in attending.
Signed,
Your very tired REBC event organizers
Location: Scottsdale Stadium. 7408 E. Osborn Road (Northeast corner of Osborn and contribution Scottsdale, AZ 85251

What to Bring: Yourself, including your brain. A desire to participate and learn. And please help our charities by bringing a small contribution of goods or cash.
Attire: Ultra-casual. You will want to be comfortable!

What a great job….Thanks again to all that help put on this event… I only wish we could have events like this more often… It was to short, also would have like to have had time for more classes.
It would be great if some of the speaker did some follow up with all of us….
