RE Bar Camp Phoenix #3 – CONFIRMED

Just a quick update to let you know REBCPHX, the Third Edition, is confirmed for April 8 at Scottsdale Stadium.

It’s going to be a little different this year — more focus on collaboration and participation, less “Whatever 101″ type of “classes”. We’re going to “Put the RE back in RE Bar Camp”. More details to come.

It’s going to rock.

Well, it is in planning, but it will happen.

“It” is Real Estate Bar Camp Phoenix — the third edition!

If you’ve attended before you know it is a can’t miss one day learning event.

The TENTATIVE CONFIRMED date is April 8, 2011. TENTATIVE CONFIRMED location is Scottsdale Stadium (same location as the last two years). We’re about 99% certain we can get the stadium, a little less certain on the specific date. We’ll post here when both are confirmed.

Of note: The “planning committee” made a command decision today. REBCPHX3 will not be providing t-shirts or an on-site lunch this year. This makes planning (and fund raising) significantly easier. And let’s face it — you come to learn, to participate and to network, not to eat and become a fashion queen. There are a bunch of restaurants within walking distance of the stadium, and we’ll work to get some discounts.

Also, the goal this year is to “Put the RE back in RE Bar Camp”. We want people to LEARN and PARTICIPATE. There won’t be “vendor tables” or sales pitches. This is a BarCamp, not a trade show. It’s not going to be all about social media, Twitter, blogging QR codes and iPhones. Sure, that stuff will probably play a part, but we want to “get back to basics”. Let’s talk about ways we can all make our real estate careers and lives better!
