We&#8217;ll be meeting at 8:oo AM in the Hyatt Regency Penn&#8217;s Landing lobby and will be grabbing breakfast either before or after the walk &#8211; feel free to join us and help decide. This will be a relaxed, casual walk with friends and cameras, and we may very well make it up as we go along.</p>
<p>The route will likely take us past:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong><a title="Liberty Bell" href="http://www.nps.gov/inde/liberty-bell-center.htm" target="_blank">The Liberty Bell</a></strong>, which was called the Independence Bell until 1837, when an anti-slavery group adopted it as a symbol of freedom based on the inscription, &#8220;<em>Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the Land unto all the inhabitants thereof.</em>&#8220;</li>
<li><strong><a title="Independence Hall" href="http://www.nps.gov/inde/" target="_blank">Independence Hall</a></strong>, where the Declaration of Independence was debated and adopted, and which originally housed the Liberty Bell.</li>
<li><a title="The Ben Franklin Bridge" href="http://www.phillyroads.com/crossings/benjamin-franklin/" target="_blank"><strong>The Benjamin Franklin Bridge</strong><br />
</a></li>
<li><a title="Philadelphia Waterfront" href="http://www.planetware.com/philadelphia/waterfront-us-pa-water.htm" target="_blank"><strong>The Philadelphia Waterfront</strong></a> which includes Penn&#8217;s Landing, Philadelphia Vietnam Veteran&#8217;s Memorial and Independence Seaport Museum.</li>
</ul>
<p>We expect to walk at least a couple miles, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. <a title="REBCPHL Map" href="http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;msa=0&amp;msid=111358665989128629050.000466aa3863c75e80d00&amp;ll=39.953175,-75.146484&amp;spn=0.027831,0.077248&amp;z=14" target="_blank">Click here to view the REBCPHL map</a> for more location details.</p>
<p><em>Tickets are required for Independence Hall, so please let us know if you plan to attend in the comments below.</em></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><a title="REBCPHL" href="http://rebarcamp.com/philadelphia/" target="_self"> Real Estate BarCamp Philadelphia</a> is issuing a challenge to the Blogosphere &#8211; Get Blogging!</p>
<p>Popular wisdom tells us it take 21 days to create a habit. REBCPHL wants to help bloggers who might need a little help or encouragement by throwing out a challenge.  And if the help or encouragement you need is starting a blog, <em>DO IT NOW.</em></p>
<p><strong>Starting tomorrow, May 5th, 2009, write a post a day for the next 21 days.  Each day, email us a link to your post at </strong><span class="781055213-04052009"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong><a rel="nofollow" href="mailto:REBCPHL@gmail.com" target="_blank"><span id="lw_1241452217_2" class="yshortcuts">REBCPHL@gmail.com</span></a> with the subject line 21DIBH. </strong> That&#8217;s pretty much it.  We like to keep things simple.<br />
</span></span></p>
<p><span class="781055213-04052009"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong><em>Entries will not be judged</em>, we&#8217;re merely trying to help get you in the habit of writing.</strong> Don&#8217;t freak out about content or competition &#8211; the point is that you&#8217;re working to improve something that can improve your business. If you see value in that, please challenge yourself to play along! </span></span></p>
<p><span class="781055213-04052009"><span style="font-family: Arial;">We&#8217;re also not being picky about the type of content. If you have have a day that just wears you down and the idea of blogging feels like it&#8217;s going to send you over the edge, maybe it&#8217;s a photo blog day. (<em>Best to keep that camera with you for emergencies like this. Snap a shot of that new business going in on the corner, the gorgeous flowers at the local farmer&#8217;s market or springtime on the golf course. It&#8217;s all good.</em>) What we&#8217;re working on here is the habit of blogging itself.<br />
</span></span></p>
<p><span class="781055213-04052009"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><strong>There will be prizes awarded at REBCPHL but you do not need to be present to win.</strong> This means if you&#8217;re on the other side of the country (<em>and Hello, Canada!</em>) feel free to join in and play. <em>We&#8217;re hoping you will!</em></span></span></p>
<p><span class="781055213-04052009"><span style="font-family: Arial;">We will occasionally share links to posts we especially like, so although we aren&#8217;t really judging you may feel free to try to wow us for potential link love. Maybe we&#8217;ll tweet them, throw them in Facebook or share them here. We&#8217;ll surprise you.<br />
</span></span></p>
<p><span class="781055213-04052009"><span style="font-family: Arial;">In summary:</span></span></p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span class="781055213-04052009"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Write a post a day from May 5 to May 26, 2009.</span></span></strong></li>
<li><strong><span class="781055213-04052009"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Send a link to your post each day to </span></span><span class="781055213-04052009"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><a rel="nofollow" href="mailto:REBCPHL@gmail.com" target="_blank"><span id="lw_1241452217_2" class="yshortcuts">REBCPHL@gmail.com</span></a> with the subject line 21DIBH</span></span></strong></li>
<li><strong><span class="781055213-04052009"><span style="font-family: Arial;">You don&#8217;t have to be present at REBCPHL to win.</span></span></strong></li>
<li><strong><span class="781055213-04052009"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Realize on May 26th that you&#8217;re quite the blogger and pat yourself on the back.</span></span></strong></li>
</ul>
<p><em>We look forward to reading your blog!</em></p>
