One of the best things about RE BarCamp Minneapolis–St. Paul is that it is FREE to attend. However, it isn’t free to produce and we do need sponsors.
What do we need sponsors for?
We need sponsor money for things like the venue, food, catering, name badges, visual aids, coffee, wireless boost, beer, more beer, and a few more beers. Okay, and maybe some tea and diet soda and juice and other nonalcoholic beverages, too. If you insist.
But to be serious, we are relying entirely on volunteer and sponsor effort to pull off BarCamp. After a month in the public eye, we’re seeing that the big, chunky sponsorships are a thing of the past. We understand, so we’re reducing the price of the top-tier sponsor level and opening up a few more spots in the lower-priced sponsor levels.
What It Takes to Sponsor
Premier: FULL
Lunch: $500 – 2 of 6 slots open
Breakfast: FULL
Happy Hour: $250 – 1 of 8 slots open
Technology: FULL
General: $100 – Unlimited! Reduced price (due to less visibility)

It is important to note that RE BarCamp Minneapolis–St. Paul is a not-for-profit entity. If there is money left over, 100% will be donated to a local housing nonprofit organization. We have chosen a fantastic organization called Local Initiatives Support Corportation (LISC). We really wanted to give to an organization that did their good works on both sides of the river. On a final note, RE BarCamp Minneapolis–St. Paul is not a vendor show. Please do not come to just sell your services. If you have a good product, it should sell itself. You are very much welcome to share what it is you’re doing (this event is all about sharing!), and it’s great to be proud of the advances you are making in the industry. Just be cool. Don’t finish your pitch with “and you can have 20% off if you sign up today!” You know the difference.
