Perfect Setting for an REBarCamp

REBarCamps have taken over the country by storm and each individual one picks up on the energy and feel of the host city as well as the organizers. I have to admit that putting one of these is no easy task and as informal and laid back these events can be, a lot falls on the volunteers. Kudos to each and every person that has taken on this role and our most sincere gratitude to all the sponsors that have made REBarCamps across the nation possible. (please take a minute to click on the sponsors’ sites and see what these companies are about)
When David Gibbons first approached me on Twitter about REBarCamp Miami, I thought, why not? But once preparations started I realized that the venue not only needed to represent Miami, but it also had to be a place that was a natural conduit for exchanges of real estate ideas.
So what better environment to share and learn about real estate than in an active Luxury Listing? Not only do attendees benefit from the space, but we can also show the world the power of social media. Imagine the amount of photos, video, tweets and posterous postings during the event? It’s like a national virtual open house that benefits all.
Here is what’s been shared on Twitter (you can always check out the hashtag #rebcmiami to hear the conversation):

If you have not clicked above on VENUE or seen the video on the right column, REBarCamp Miami will take place at The Temple House in South Beach. Daniel Davidson, the owner, was gracious enough to volunteer his home and we can only show our appreciation by promoting the home (not that it is very difficult, most of you will agree that the house is pretty amazing). Take a look at WhatALocation.com for photos and history of the Temple House. It is currently listed for $7.5 million by Jeff Morr.
I only hope that this becomes an example for other REBarCamps across the country – if the property sells due the event, it will be another major victory for REBarCamp!
