Peaks of Otter Lunch Wednesday Oct 7

Some of the participants are coming in to town early on Wednesday and the organizers would love to invite the early arrivers to lunch with us at the Peaks of Otter, located at mile post 86 along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

If your itinerary finds you in Lynchburg early on the 7th, either meet us at the hotel about 12:00 noon and will can all carpool up to the peaks or just meet us at the Peaks of Otter Lodge about 1:00 pm.

These twin mountain peaks rise to an elevation of 4,200 feet, affording an unique opportunity to experience nature at its best.  This could be a great opportunity for a photo op so bring your cameras!

The Peaks of Otter is one of the most entrancing sites a long the parkway.

Directions from Holiday Inn Select

1. From the front door of the Holiday Inn Select turn left on Main Street
2. Turn left on 5th Street go about 1.2 miles
3. Turn right on Langhorne Road (501 Business) go about .3 miles
4. Turn left onto Murrell Road go about .4 miles
5. Murrell Road will become Lakeside Drive  (follow 221 – Forest Road) go about 6 miles
6. Turn left on Enterprise Drive go about .7 miles
7. Turn left on Paulette Circle & you’ll see The Neighbors Place on the right.
