The first plan for a RE BarCamp was started back in January of 2008 in San Francisco. It was an idea for a one time gathering a group of kinda geeky folks to participate in a day long “Un-Conference” event of sharing.
On July 22, 2008 the event was a smash hit with about 4 times as many people showing up. There was a MASSIVE amount of energy created, and that sparked the idea to share this event with as many people as possible across the United States. Who could have known that this little spark would result in 25+ RE barcamps to date……and counting!
So how can this AMAZING experience be FREE?
This event is entirely driven by people in Real Estate who are very passionate and want to share ideas with others. It is sponsor funded and the content is attendee generated – and all of this magic is done all on a volunteer basis! How WEB 2.0 WEB 3.0 is that!!!!!
So here we are, a great group of folks working hard to bring this to Indianapolis!
